Schaumburg is a great town for families. When it comes to finding a safe place for your kids to play, Schaumburg is full of them. The Park District features a variety of popular picnic areas to choose from, all ideal for quality time with your friends and family.
Near the school, you'll find the Gray Farm Park. It is located in a wonderful area full of greenery and includes a shelter, pond, grills, a small game field and even bike paths providing safe routes for those biking enthusiasts. Unfortunately parking is limited and there are no restroom facilities.
For a family with children who are into athletic, high-energy activities, there's Block Park. It has a playground, several ball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts and a large swimming pool. Block Park also features a shelter, indoor bathrooms and available parking areas.
Volkening Lake Park is a popular destination for individuals who enjoy the water. Canoes and paddleboats are available for rent and there are many areas suitable for fishing, jogging or walking. Volkening Lake Park is surrounded by a beautiful set of gardens which provide gorgeous backdrops to wedding photos.
Campanelli Park is another large park with playgrounds, shelters, grills, five baseball fields and two large picnic areas. During warm weather months groups congregate here for picnics, celebrations and other activities.
Around Schaumburg there are many small parks including Northwest Odlum and Russ Parker Parks.
